The European Year of Education through Sport (EYES) will be starting on 1 January 2004. Over 12 months, in 28 countries, the European Union will be encouraging the promotion of the educational values of sport and reinforcing the links between the worlds of sport and education, demonstrating that, in addition to passion and competition, sport conveys civic values that contribute to a better education. The slogan ('Move your body, stretch your mind') and logo will be highlighted at almost 200 events |
