Experts discuss financial education for consumers

To raise awareness of the need to provide high-quality financial edu-cation to consumers, the European Commission hosted a conference on 'In-creasing Financial Capability' in Brussels in March 2007. High profile speakers from public authorities, the financial services industry, con-sumer organisations and academics came together to look at best practices in this important area of consumer understanding of financial products.
