From 1 May 2004, the European competition rules can be enforced directly by national competition authorities and courts. The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) became a member of the network of national competition authorities (NCAs) in Europe applying Articles 81 and 82 of the EC Treaty in full alongside the European Commission. |
