Press Release: Minister for Trade and Commerce raises serious reservations over EU proposals for treatment of new accounting standard

The Irish Minister for Trade and Commerce, Michael Ahern, on 1 September 2004, expressed his concerns about the proposed treatment, by the European Commission, of a new accounting standard (IAS 39) issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), the independent accounting standards body.
