Clothing row divides Europe

The dispute over what to do with the EU's Chinese 'mountain' of pullovers and bras is pitting one group of European countries against another: North versus South. The Northern countries support the principle of free trade and the arguments of the retailers, while the Southern Member States hear the cries of the textile industries within their borders.
