The German neo-communist party and a grouping of leftwing dissidents from the ruling Social Democratic party have agreed 10 June 2005 to run on a joint ticket in the general election expected in September 2005. Oskar Lafontaine, former chairman of Gerhard Schröder's SPD party and one of his most outspoken critics, will be co-leader of the ticket. |
