Rival groups press Johnson on opt-out

Business and union leaders have written to Alan Johnson, the UK Trade and Industry Minister, to press for their rival positions ahead of a key meeting of European Union ministers, June 2005 to discuss proposals that could end the UK's right to opt out of the 48-hour week.
