The European Commission on 30 September 2005 authorised, under the EU Merger Regulation, the proposed joint venture between Sofiprotéol and the Bunge Group, both active in the production and marketing of biodiesel fuel. The Commission concluded that the deal would not be a significant obstacle to effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
