The European Directive on injunctions for the protection of consumers' interests (Directive 98/27/EC), known as the 'Injunctions Directive', was adopted on 19 May 1998. It has to be implemented in all Member States by 1 January 2001. This paper sets out the Government's proposed approach and options for implementing the Directive. |
