Press Release: The Commission is to associate the OCTs more closely with aid programming and implementation

The European Commission announced on 5 December 2005 that specific measures would be taken to associate the overseas countries and territories (OCTs) more closely with aid programming and implementation, and with the European Partnership Agreement (EPA) process. The Commission wished in particular to consult the OCTs before the future communications on the EU strategy for the Caribbean and on EU relations with the countries of the Pacific Ocean were to be adopted.
