EU could halve Cresson’s pension

Report of the European Court of Justice Advocate General's Opinion in Case C-432/04:
Commission of the European Communities v Edith Cresson. Judgement of the European Court announced on 11 July 2006. The ECH declared that Mrs Cresson acted in breach of her obligations as a European Commissioner. In the light of the circumstances of the case, the Court held that the finding of that breach constituted, in itself, an appropriate penalty
