G8’s nuclear plan draws fire from Gemany

A proposal being considered by the Group of Eight industrialised nations (G8) to back a broad expansion of nuclear energy as a means of enhancing energy security, is not acceptable to Germany. Germany is progressively closing its nuclear power stations and plans to cease using nuclear power altogether.
