EU energy groups raided by regulators

European Commission regulators carried out raids on 17 May 2006 on the offices of some of Europe's biggest energy groups as part of an anti-trust investigation into the electricy and gas sectors, and the latest dramatic development in the Commission's campaign to force open the EU's energy markets.
