Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed acquisition of Fotovista by DSG

The European Commission on 29 June 2006 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the French firm Fotovista S.A. by the UK company DSG International plc. Both companies are retailers of electrical and electronic consumer goods. The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
