After a small drop in August 2006, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) rebounded in September. The indicator rose by 1.6 points in the EU and by 1.0 point in the euro area, up to 111.0 and 109.3, respectively. Overall, economic sentiment in the EU and the euro area has remained on an upward trend since mid-2005. |
