Embattled Hungarian premier promises to press ahead with vital economic reforms

Ferenc Gyurcsany, the embattled Hungarian prime minister, insisted 22 september 2006 he had the necessary political backing to press on with economic reforms, despite angry demonstrations calling for his resignation.
