Press Release: Progress made in implementing Commission’s Action Plan towards an integrated internal control framework

In January 2006, the Commission launched an Action Plan to improve the internal control framework as part of its goal to obtain a clean bill of health on EU spending from the auditors. In March 2007, a progress report considers what has been achieved over the past 12 months, and sets out what still remains to be done.
