Press Release: EU Commissioner Orban and the European Union’s Publisher at Bookworld Prague “Reading the Future”

Leonard Orban, EU Commissioner for Multilingualism and responsible for relations between the European Commission and the Publications Office, will inaugurate the 13th international Book Fair in Prague on 3 May 2007. Mr Orban will also address publishers and media focusing on the European translation industry and the major online public services offered by the Publications Office. The Publications Office of the EU will be present for the first time at the International Book Fair. "The presence of the Publications Office at the international book fair is a first, showing its importance to a forward looking union in communicating with its citizens and helping to lead the way in Multilingualism" declared Commissioner Orban.
