The European Commission has authorised a Dutch State aid which aims to encourage the development of inland waterway transport by improving the technical characteristics of inland navigation vessels. The aid has a total budget of € 0.6 million and concerns the research and the economic feasibility of the project. The Commission has found the scheme compatible with EU legislation. |
