G8’s claims of advances at summit disputed

Article says that the advances G8 leaders in their Communiqué claim to have made were questioned by many campaign groups. The Genoa summit, 20 -22 July 2001, was criticized for not having advanced on the topics of debt relief, environmental and development disputes between the US and other G8 members, trade-related intellectual property rights, the funding of renewable energy etc.
