Press Release: New financial and banking instruments for the audio-visual media

The European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF) are proposing a new strand of activity to the European audio-visual industry so as to reinforce its financial basis and to accelerate its adaptation to digital technologies. Supplementing the Media Plus programme (2001-2005), the purpose of this financial package is to improve the industry's competitiveness and to promote the development of European audio-visual content.
