Pro-euro camp pushes for early referendum date

While the UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and his Chancellor, Gordon Brown, tried to present a united front in the aftermath of the decision to defer British entry into the European single currency, pro-euro Ministers argued the case for an early referendum on the single currency.
