Date: 29/10/1998 Union leaders appear to be developing a definite taste for summits. In addition to their regular biannual gatherings, they may well be meeting in February and March next year to try to fight their way through the thicket of Agenda 2000 policy reforms. They are also set to meet in the Finnish city of Tampere, probably on 15 October next year, for a special summit on organised crime, drug smuggling and illegal immigration. |
