Date: 23/01/1997 Radical steps have been announced by the Dutch EU presidency shorter lunch breaks for foreign affairs ministers attending Council meetings. Lunch will in future be a maximum 90-minute affair, during which lesser matters will be discussed. The real work will be done before leaving the Council table or on returning to it and no talking at the back. |
