On 12 March 2001 Anna Diamantopoulou, Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs, signed an agreement approving the new EQUAL Community Initiative Programme for Denmark for the 2001-2006 period. Under this programme, the European Social Fund (ESF) will provide €29.9 million to develop new ways of fighting discrimination and inequality in the workplace. These plans support the four pillars of the European Employment Strategy. |
