Running in its second year, the EU's Erasmus Mundus programme, which is a co-operation and mobility programme in the field of higher education with third countries, was reaching a rapidly expanding number of participating universities, courses, students and academics from the EU and all over the world, showing that 'trademark Europe' in higher education is the mark of excellence. In 2005, the programme involved 190 European universities in 21 EU Member States plus Norway and 38 non-EU universities in 17 countries, comprising a total of 57 master's courses. |
