Holding a job – Having a life. EQUAL events outcome

This publication showcases EQUAL good practices that made a difference for women and men who want both gainful employment
and a career, and a more satisfying family and personal life. EQUAL has created new care and other family support services and work/life
balance policies, which brought about cultural change in companies and organisations. EQUAL media campaigns and awareness raising
strategies have helped to overcome traditional gender roles and the unequal sharing of unpaid care and family work. The EQUAL website
provides a wealth of information on these achievements, including individual case studies, the documentation of two major visibility
events in Madrid (2005) and Tallinn (2006) and the so-called Living Document assembling the good practices of more than 60 Development
Partnerships (DPs) from throughout Europe.
