Date: 21/01/1999 ...by Serbian forces in the village of Racak, urging all sides in the conflict to avoid acts of violence. In a joint statement, they called on Belgrade to rescind the decision to expel William Walker, head of the international team put in place to monitor the cease-fire, and demanded that the International Criminal Tribunal's chief prosecutor Louise Arbour be given full access to investigate the atrocity. All parties were urged to work towards a political settlement in the region. |
