EU strikes deal on new reform treaty

EU Member States agreed on the text of a new 'Reform Treaty' (to be called the 'Treaty of Lisbon') at a formal session of the Intergovernmental Conference, Lisbon, 18 October 2007. (the treaty wil be formally signed in Lisbon on the 13 December 2007).
