Portugal warns over EU energy budget

Report of an FT interview with Manuel Pinho, Portugal's economy minister. He said that the European Union's research and development budget for the energy sector is too small and too biased in favour of nuclear power. He said that the EU would find it hard to meet its self-imposed targets on energy use if its R&D budget remained unchanged.
