Press Release: Regional programmes 2007-2013: The Commission and France agree on innovation as a priority

Danuta Hübner, the Commissioner responsible for regional policy, and Jean-Louis Borloo, Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Planning and Development, will close the seminar on "Innovation and anticipation of economic and social change" which takes place in Bordeaux on 22-24 October 2007. The Commissioner will congratulate the French authorities on their commitment to the strategy and priorities set in the 2007-2013 cohesion policy. At the close of the seminar, Ms Hübner, on behalf of the European Commission, will symbolically sign the operational programme for Aquitaine as an example of all the other programmes for which negotiations have been completed.
