Russia pulls out of arms treaty

President Vladimir Putin signed a law on 30 November 2007 suspending Russia’s participation in the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty(CFE) - a key post-cold war arms treaty, triggering an angry reaction from the US, which declared the move a 'mistake'.
