The European Commission has approved a €1.5 million humanitarian aid package to provide assistance to the unregistered Rohingya refugees of Teknaf, Cox's Bazaar, in South East Bangladesh. Assistance will focus on the relocation of refugees to a suitable place and the provision of humanitarian aid including shelter, water, health, and nutrition. Funds are being allocated via the European Commission Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) under the responsibility of Commissioner Louis Michel. |
