‘Secretive’ ECB urged to reveal voting records

Opaque, consensus-based decision-making at the European Central Bank slows its reactions and effectiveness and should be replaced by a system of published voting records, a leading European think-tank, Centre for Economic Policy Research, siad in a report published 7 February 2008. The latest Monitoring the European Central Bank Report from CEPR calls for two simple reforms to improve the transparency of the ECB.
