Press Release: Joe Borg participates in CIHEAM ministerial meeting in Zaragoza

European Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Joe Borg will travel to Spain on 10 February, 2008, where he will be attending the 7th Ministerial Meeting organised by the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) in Zaragoza on Monday. The meeting is being held at the invitation of Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Ms Elena Espinosa, and will bring together Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries from CIHEAM member countries, including a number of EU Member States. Commissioner Borg will address the opening session on sustainable management of fisheries resources in the Mediterranean Sea. He will also hold bilateral meetings with Ministers from some of the EU's partner countries in the Mediterranean basin.
