Community innovation statistics: More than half of the innovative enterprises in the EU do in-house R&D

This publication compares the fourth Community Innovation Survey (CIS4) with the third (CIS3), taking a closer look at some of the main results of the two surveys. The overall picture for the EU-27 shows marked contrasts, and only a few common trends can be discerned, for example the high shares of innovative enterprises acquiring machinery, equipment and software and engaged in intramural R&D.
