NFU Cymru wins battle to bury Soils Directive

NFU Cymru (NFU: National Farmers' Union) has nearly 15,000 members in Wales, and represents the majority of farmers in Wales.

Proposals for a 'Soils Directive', that would have added significantly to the regulatory burden on farming for no perceptible environmental gain, have been thrown out by the EU Council of Ministers, following a sustained campaign by NFU Cymru.
