Twenty-seven 'young translators' – one from each EU Member State – came to Brussels on 10 March, 2008, to receive the prizes of the first ever European translation contest for schools. Mr Leonard Orban, the European Commissioner for Multilingualism, gave a press conference in the press room of the Berlaymont building welcoming the winners of the 'Juvenes Translatores' (latin for young translators) contest and handing them their awards. |
