Press Release: EU governments ask EDA for armaments strategy, agree steps for more defence collaboration

EU governments asked the European Defence Agency (EDA), on 9 April 2008, to produce an Armaments Strategy to help meet future military needs, ensure interoperability and standardisation, and share the ever-increasing costs of developing and procuring high-technology defence equipment.
