The European Commission cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed joint venture between ArcelorMittal Steel Service Centres SAS (AMSSC) belonging to the ArcelorMittal group, a leading global steel company based in Luxembourg, and the Swedish company BE Sverige AB ). The joint venture would combine the steel service centre activities of the parties in Sweden. The Commission’s investigation found that the proposed transaction would not impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
