Brussels urged to develop clearing rivalries

Europe risks allowing US providers of clearing and settlement systems to dominate the global landscape unless the European Commission and the private sector take 'aggressive action' to instil competition, Bob Wigley, chairman of Merrill Lynch’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region warned on the 21 April 2008.
