Brussels backs down on trade in take-off slots

Article reports that the European Commission abandoned its long-standing opposition to the trade in take-off and landing slots at congested airports, 30 April 2008, - pioneered at London Heathrow, Europe's busiest airport - and lifted its threat of legal action against the UK government to stop such deals.
