Memo: Energy Council

This Energy Council will be held on Friday 6 June, in Luxembourg. The main purpose of the Council is to reach an agreement (general approach) on the internal market. There will also be a policy debate on the Energy and Climate change legislative package and an information point on International relations. Under Any Other Business, Portugal is expected to raise a question on the high oil prices. Commissioner Piebalgs has already manifested his support to such a discussion.
