Press Release: Commissioner Piebalgs welcomes stronger cooperation between European Transmission System Operators

CEO's of 36 European Transmission System Operator companies signed on 27th June a declaration of intent, to create a European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) before the end of the year. Energy Commissioner Piebalgs welcomed this initiative, particularly as it represented a proactive step ahead of the Third Legislative Package on the Internal Electricity Market and reflects the principles set out therein.
