Mergers: Commission cleared proposed acquisition of parts of ABN AMRO's assets by Deutsche BankThe European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of certain assets of the Dutch banking group ABN AMRO by Deutsche Bank of Germany. The Commission concluded that the operation would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in any substantial part of it.
