On 13 December 2007, the European Commission approved the Regional Operational Programme for the East Midlands for 2007-2013. The Operational Programme falls under the Regional Competitiveness and Employment Objective and has a total budget of about €540 million. Community investment through the ERDF amounts to some €270 million, which represents approximately 2.5% of the total EU investment earmarked for the United Kingdom under Cohesion Policy 2007-2013. |
