Yushchenko calls snap elections / Ukraine set for third poll in three years

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko dissolved parliament on the 8 October 2008 Wednesday and called snap elections despite fears that weeks of campaigning and post-electoral manoeuvering could hamper the country’s response to the global financial crisis.
