Bologna will from 9 September, 2008, host the sixth annual meeting of the cities taking part in Europe's CIVITAS initiative, which aims at developing integrated solutions for sustainable mobility in towns and cities in order to reduce congestion and pollution. In the presence of Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani and Italian Minister of Transport, Altero Matteoli, around 300 participants coming from all around Europe are expected in the Italian city between 9th and 11th November. Practical experience from cities that are Europe-wide leaders in the field of urban mobility will be presented. |
