On 27 November, 2008, a number of school students, including pupils from Guadeloupe in the West Indies, Kittilä north of the Arctic Circle, São Roque do Pico in the Azores, and Etterbeek in Brussels, a stone's throw from the headquarters of the European Commission, will be working hard to produce a translation as faithful to the original and as fluent in the target language as possible. That is the objective of the second Juvenes Translatores ('young translators' in Latin) contest organised by the European Commission for upper secondary schools in all European Union Member States. |
