Press Release: Danuta Hübner in Corsica (France) for the launching of the 2007-2013 European programmes promoting innovation

Danuta Hübner, the Member of the Commission in charge of regional policy, will visit Corsica on 11 and 12 December at the invitation of Ange Santini, President of the island’s Executive Council. She will attend the launching of the European programmes which will contribute to the island’s development up to 2013, and will also visit the sites of several projects which have seen the light of day as a result of Community investment. Currently passing through a phase of transition, Corsica has just left the group of European regions whose development is lagging behind and has resolutely turned its sights towards innovation.
